Sims 3 planned for June release to Android

While there is no video preview of the new EA game for the Android it has officially been announced. EA was kind enough to tell us that the popular Sims franchise was making its way to Android starting June 2. The new Sims 3 game will be launched across all platforms like PC, Xbox, PS3 and mobile phones as well. We covered the iPhone app launch sometime ago and now its coming to the Android OS too. Sims 3 will let you control the life of your character right from your mobile phone and let them interact with others in a virtual world.

T-Mobile G1 gets Android 1.5 Cupcake

American users of the T-Mobiles G1 are now getting their Android 1.5 Cupcake updates over the air. The new update treats user to many new improvements like a new soft QWERTY keyboard so that you can send text messages quickly and easily. The Android 1.5 Cupcake update also adds the ability to upload photos to Picasa and videos to Youtube right from their G1 mobile phones. Looks like great things are finally happening for Google and the G1 phone. If you have a T-Mobile G1 you can now grab your update right from your phone if you haven’t already.

Google Shows off prototype phone

Its no secret that Google is trying to enter the mobile phone market. They have now developed a prototype and now busy showing it off to prospective vendors. They are shopping different carriers and different ideas to try and get into the lucrative mobile market. Google is toying with the idea of free subscriptions by bundling advertisements with its search engine, e-mail and Web browser software applications. Google will have some big shoes to fill since it will certainly be aiming to reach the same status in the marketplace as Apple with its iPhone.

Rogers HTC Magic brings Exchange support

In less than one week Google Android will be coming to Canada. Rogers will be the carrier of the mobile phones and the HTC Magic and HTC Dream will have the latest Cupcake update and they will also offer Exchange support. Rogers will be rolling out full Microsoft Exchange support but as a result it will not have the Google branding on the back. Rogers is willing to do a bit of sacrificing in the Google Experience in order to be able to fully support Exchange. These are all minor sacrifices in order to bring the best possible product to the Canadian market.
